NORMAL ROUTE - WEST SIDE - 4 days
Snow-topped Illimani is the most historic mountain, many people try to climb it because of its beauty. For the Aymara people it is one of their tutelary gods. It is located at 72km from La Paz.
Illimani has 5 peaks:
South peak 6490 m.a.s.l., Central peak 6280 m.a.s.l., North peak 6002 m.a.s.l., Pico Paris to the South East 6287 m.a.s.l.
DAY 1.- We depart from La Paz to Estancia Pinaya at 3700 m.a.s.l. (4 hours). Then we begin a trek to Puente Roto (2hrs 30mins). Camping at base camp (4700 m.a.s.l.).
Day 2 We ascend (5 hours) to high camp "Nido de Condores" (5500 m.a.s.l.). Camping.
DAY 3. We begin a long snow and ice climb with 2 short technical parts (50 °) up to South Peak summit (7 hours). Return to base camp.
Day 4 return to La Paz.

NORMAL ROUTE - 4 days
Sajama volcano is the highest peak in Bolivia, it is located to the south-west of La Paz, in Oruro department, within the Altiplano region characterized by its arid, cold, windy climate and its exceptional flora and fauna.
Day 1. We depart from La Paz on land transport to the town of Sajama (4,000m.a.s.l.), from there continue to the queñuales. Then approach trekking to the foothills of the west side of Sajama Volcano (3 hours). 4700 m.a.s.l. base camp.
Day 2. We begin the trek between sand and volcanic stones (5 hours) up to the High Camp at 5,700 m.a.s.l.
Day 3. We ascend to the summit through snowfields with a single considerable technical passage (55º). Descent to base camp.
DAY 4. Return to Sajama. We will enjoy a soak in the hot springs of Sajama park before returning to La Paz.

DAY 1. We travel from La Paz towards Peñas, then to the community of Khotia. From there we start the trek to Ajwani lagoon at 4600 m.a.s.l. (about 5 hours). Camping.
DAY 2. Begin trekking, ascend to the passage at 4930m.a.s.l. (about 1 hour 30 minutes), continue to Janchallani valley at 4660m.a.s.l. Afterwards climb to the passageat 4950m.a.s.l., then go down to Juri Khota lagoon at 4680m.a.s.l. (6 hours). Camping.
DAY 3. This trekking day is characterized by its ascents. Walk to Pico Austria (Black Hill)summit at 5200m.a.s.l. (4 hours), then go down to Condoriri base camp by Chiarkhota lagoon at 4650m.a.s.l. (approximately 2 hours).
DAY 4. Continue trekking to La Rinconada 4300m.a.s.l. (3 hours). From there we return to La Paz on land transport.

CLASSICAL ROUTE - 4 days
The quadrangular shape of Chachacomani’s peaks attracts attention, they look like Pukaras, some sort of Incan strongholds, its presence alone has served as an inspiration for climbers everywhere.
DAY 1. We depart from La Paz on land transport to Peñas, through Chachacomani town and arrive to Alto Cruz Pampa town at 4480m.a.s.l., from there we walk to base camp (3 hours approximately).
DAY 2. From the base camp we depart trekking to the high camp at 5100m.a.s.l. (3 hours).
DAY 3. Begin to climb the glacier (3 hours), then we go across fields (3 hours approximately) and ascend a 45° slope to reach the summit. We return to base camp.
DAY4. We trek to Alto Cruz Pampa and from there return to the city of La Paz.

DAY 1. We depart from La Paz on land transport to Peñas, through Chachacomani town and arrive to Alto Cruz Pampa town at 4480m.a.s.l., from there we walk to the intermediate camp at 4750m.a.s.l. (about 4 hours). Camping.
DAY 2. Depart from the intermediate camp and begin our ascent to the summit at 6074m.a.s.l. Return to the intermediate camp.
DAY 3. Depart from the intermediate camp towards Alto Cruz Pampa and from there return to the city of La Paz.

DAY 1. We depart from La Paz on land transport to Alto Cruz Pampa, from there we begin trekking through a wetlands plateau to base camp at 4500m.a.s.l. (3 hours).
DAY 2. We depart from base camp and begin a 3 hours hike on a trail over wetlands and sand that leads to the high camp 5100m.a.s.l.
DAY 3. We start the day at 3 am, trekking over a glacier and plateau (3 hours) and then ascend a 40° slope, continue through plateaus and along a small ridge which leads to the summit of Chachacomani at 6074m.a.s.l. We return to Chiaroco high camp at about 5000 m.a.s.l.
DAY 4. We ascend to Chiaroco summit and return to the that mountain’s high camp.
DAY 5. We depart from Chiaroco high camp trekking towards Chachacomani base camp.
DAY 6. Walk from Chachacomani base camp to Alto Cruz Pampa. From there we return on land transport to La Paz.

DAY 2. Ascend trekking to reach Chearoco South-East face (2 to 3 hours). Get established at the high camp on Chekhapa Kuchu plains at 5070m.a.s.l.
DAY 3. Walk to the summit, go across technical passages, walls of snow and ice (approximately 6 hours). Return to high camp.
Day 4. Return to La Paz.

Reaching this volcano summit, which holds a big crater, does not represent major difficulty other than to go across its slopes.
DAY 1. We depart from La Paz, on land transport, to Sajama National Park (4 hours). Stay overnight at a small shelter on Sajama volcano at 4000 m.a.s.l.
DAY 2. On 4x4 land transport we go to the high camp (1 hour), then continue trekking to the snow topped mountain edge (2 hours) and from there to the summit at 6370 m.a.s.l. (4 hours). Next return through the same route to Sajama Town where we stay overnight.
DAY 3. Return to La Paz.

Ancohuma summit is clearly noticeable due to its "ox back" shape, it is located at the middle of large snow-capped plateaus. The access to this impressive mountain goes through Sorata Town located at approximately 2700m.a.s.l.
DAY 1. Depart from La Paz, on land transport, to Sorata town (approximately 3 hours).
Alternatively we can visit the Grotto of St. Peter (a cave which contains a lagoon and bats).
We stay overnight at a hotel.
DAY 2. Begin trekking to Titisani mine at 4460m.a.s.l.
DAY 3. Continue trekking to Glacier Lagoon at 5040m.a.s.l. Base Camp
DAY 4. We ascend walking through the lower edge (5 hours). Arrive to the snow-topped plateaus at 5800m.a.s.l. High camp.
DAY 5. Do a little technical ascent which leads us to the summit (6 hours). Go down to the Glacier Lagoon.
DAY 6. Begin return trekking to Sorata. Stay overnight at hotel.
DAY 7. Return to La Paz.

The access to the impressive Illampu massif goes through Sorata town located at approximately 2700m.a.s.l.
DAY 1. Depart from La Paz on land transport to Sorata town (3 hours approximately).
Alternatively we can visit the Grotto of St. Peter (a cave which contains a lagoon and bats).
We stay overnight at a hotel.
DAY 2. Go on land transport to Colani, from there trek to Chilata lagoon at 4600m.a.s.l. Camping.
Day 3. Continue trekking to the Glacier Lagoon at 5040m.a.s.l. Base camp.
Day 4. Ascend walking between stones and rocks to the edge of the glacier. High Camp.
Day 5. We do a little technical climb that leads us to the summit (6 hours). Descend to the Glacier Lagoon.
Day 6. Continue trekking over stones, rocks and sand by a hillside through uphills and downhills to Aguas Calientes. 4650m.a.s.l. base camp.
Day 7. Rest.
DAY 8. Ascend to the high camp walking over stones, rocks and sand to the edge of Illampu glacier (4 hours). High camp at 5500m.a.s.l.
DAY 9. Go across a cracked plateau, then climb a 300m 50°/60° wall. Then flank a ridge of ice and a plateau full of accumulated snow . Finally we climb a 40 meters wall to Illampu summit 6382m.a.s.l.
Sometimes the bottom wall bergschrund presents many technical difficulties. The ice composition is very changeable with a predominance of melting ice (rotten ice). Winds are extremely strong and irregular. The ridge path leads directly to the summit.
From the summit you can see Lake Titicaca, the Altiplano and the deep and warm valleys which descend and disappear, within the permanent snow accumulations of the eastern side, where Amazonian flatlands are. We discover the path of the Cordillera Real showing its countless snowy peaks.
Return to base camp in Aguas Calientes.
DAY 10. Return trekking from Aguas Calientes to Lacatia (3 hours) and from there by land transport to Sorata and finally to La Paz.
